The Legislative Assembly recognized the public service of the Honourable Jim Prentice, PC, QC on Monday. The event was hosted by Hon. Robert E. Wanner, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and included the unveiling of the official portrait in honour of Mr. Prentice’s service.
“The late Jim Prentice embodied the ideals of public service,” said the Speaker Wanner. “He was a man of integrity guided by a good balance of passion and pragmatism. Today we recognize him as a selfless leader who worked tirelessly to make life better for the people of Alberta.”
The portrait of Mr. Prentice was painted by artist David Goatley and will be placed among the permanent collection displayed on the third floor of the Legislature Building.
